Metal flake nail polish

Recommended Posts

I've done my inicial search and have not been able to find my answer. I have a color that I like. It's a dark burgandy color that has a red flake in it. It's drop dead sexy shot over a black primer. The issue I'm having is, after shooting it through my air brush, the flake has stood up and dries that way. Trying to wet sand it, it takes the color out of the flake and turns it back to silver in spots.

My question IS: How do I keep the red in my flake when I wet sand the surface to prep for clear with out turning the flake silver? Do I clear the ###### out of it first BEFORE I wet sand it? I will try pretty much anything to keep the color in my flake. Please help. Thanks for reading.
