  1. I would love to get my hands on one of these. I'm looking forward to your build.
  2. Wow!!! Magnificent. Absolutely stunning detailing.
  3. Magnificent!! I love these kits. You build is very impressive.
  4. Here is Poteet's beautiful ride from Street Rodder Magazine,
  5. Thank you. I hope to finish this one as soon as I get the '65 Galaxy I've bought on Ebay. I'll use its interior. My inspiration is George Poteet's black one. I'll post a poictaure of that one as soon as I can.
  6. I have three of these awaiting their turn. I will build at least one of them in a late 50s style.
  7. I'm currently working mostly on two projects. The first is the long stalled '40 Ford convertible I call Bluestar. I have actually been making progress. I'm working on the door latches and interior door panels. The latches have been a real challenge. I'm giving up on trying to make it to scale. When I do, it's too fragile. It'll still look okay. I recently began work on a '61 Ford Starliner. I've put together a '61 Galaxy body with a '60 Starliner roof. The galaxy is an old styline kit. The major work is almost done. I am proud of the results.
  8. I have, in the past, owned two 1-1 88s; one a '49 torpedo back, and the other a '50 Holiday coupe. The latter was particularly classy looking, with 4 or 5 chrome headliner braces from side to side across the inside of the roof. I have recently bought two resin versions of the business coupe; a '50 and a '49. The former is almost done, with a blown 394 out of a beatnik bandit kit. The resin kits are based on the diecast banks, so they are nicely proportioned but poorly detailed. I am building full detail into them. I am using a stretched '51 Chevrolet as a chassis donor (the Olds is 5 inches longer ahead of the doors). You can build a Holiday using a Belair for the top.
  9. I have the Union Kit from "The Memorial Collections". It's in 1/25, which is handy if you want to use a different smallblock Chevy engine. I haven't started it, but it looks very fiddley.
  10. Actually, I won't be going to SLC, but NNL West in Santa Clara.
  11. I collect car magazines (I have an almost complete HRM collection, as well as many more), coins of all types ($30,000 worth at last count), and unmounted gem stones.
  12. I have begun work again on "Bluestar". You may remember it as "Fordoni Y Fallacy". I renamed it a more dignified name(G). If you remember I have sectioned and channeled a '40 convertible. Its engine is made from two smallblock Ford V8s, making a (duh) V16. I will bring more pictures as I make progress. I will take it to NNL West next spring, along with several others. I have gotten my building mojo back, thanks to George Hernandez, among others.
  13. Here is my deuce that appeared in Contest Cars 2008.
  14. Here is a car I built a couple of years ago. It is a model of a car built by Dick Graese in Loveland, Colorado in 1958 or so. The last car is the actual car as originally built.
