  1. I'm from the UK but recently moved to Florida. Yeah I'm trying hard to exercise self discipline when it comes to building it up. The drying time of the Testor's paint keeps me moving slowly though. Treating every part as if it's a model itself is good advice, thanks.
  2. Hey everyone, Russ here, Thought I would sign up as I am new to modelling and need all the help I can get. I received the Fujimi ID-163 Nissan Skyline GT-R KPGC10 Semi Works kit as a gift from my wife for Christmas but sadly it arrived half destroyed so I replaced it with a Tamiya 1/24 Nissan Skyline R32 GTR kit. I recently broke some parts when attaching the wheels so have reordered the kit to try again, learning from the mistakes I made and keeping the leftover parts to practice painting and sanding and with the hope that they will one day find a home in a custom job sometime in the future. Looking forward to learning tips from the forum and showing off my finished builds once I achieve that point! I would be very interested to hear from anyone that has previously built this kit to hear what they thought and if they have any advice. I feel like the way I put it together, the front wheels would not be able to turn (which seems wrong in my mind), the rear suspension struts did not clip onto anything despite the instructions indicating they should and I broke parts when pushing the wheels into the brake disc holes. The pressure required was too much for the fragile glued joints. Overall until I broke parts, I thoroughly enjoyed building it to that point. It was a good kit, hardly any flash or mold lines and the parts fit fairly well. I purchased an AMT Camaro kit to work on while I waited on some Tamiya paint colors to arrive and found it to be very poor in comparison. Although maybe looking at it from a different perspective, it could be seen as just more of a challenge, requiring more effort and attention to detail. Anyways, thanks for reading and for any help shared.
