AZ Boy
I've owned quite a few P/L kits for awhile now, but this is my 'introduction' to actually building one. Along the way, I've learned about some of the pitfalls of these kits, but I'm pleased with the finished product. Please enjoy, and of course..questions and comments are welcome. High octane
Looks great Aaron, as back-in-the-day I lived just a couple miles from Mr. Norm's Grand Spaulding Dodge. I have one of those kits in my stash somewhere, and I have heard that the PL kits can be tricky at times.

AZ Boy
Nick, Paul & Bill, thank you! Yeah Nick, there were a few "fit" issues along the way. I'll know better on the next one.
majel
Like you Aaron I have a few of these PL kits in my stash, but unlike you I haven't had the guts to try one yet! Your sweet build shows how nice they can turn out. Great job!!!
AZ Boy
Thanks Jim! I don't know why it took me so long to build this one. As you can see from my avatar, i'm kinda fond of the Mr. Norm's cars!

Old Nasty
Well done. That fuel tank looks huge. Maybe for more weight in the front. Edited March 30, 2014 by Old Nasty

AZ Boy
Dan, Chris S., Chris R., Steve, Jim, Larry & Daryl..thanks alot gentlemen! It means a lot coming from all of you. Steve, good observation on the tank. I would've really rather had just put the Moon tanks in, but a recently posted pic of this car with the body-up on a FB funnycar group changed all of that. I just tried to approximate the dimensions.
Pro Tech
Aaron, great looking build! and nice change-out on the tank, I never knew/seen a tank in that configuration. Thank goodness for vintage pics. Keep the old funnies alive . Charlie Pro Tech

I love the old funnies.I am trying my hand at the Candies & Hughes now. Very nice attention to the details. What did you use for the chute lines.Looks REAL!!!! AZ Boy
Steve, John & George - Thanks guys! Knowing well how respected you all are as builders, I really appreciate the compliments! George, the chute line was just some elastic cord I rescued from the trash. Not real accurate, but a reasonable representation of a bundled chute line.
