  1. Dad built a great black one as a kid smooth as glass with just a rattle can and toothpaste 4 polish, was looking for inspiration till I saw Harry's pic of a jet black one changed wheels and stance but here we go, maybe I can get one done soon lol. thx
  2. After finding good pics of the z/28 from 79 and the actual car at a show here recently, I re-did the color combo to a closer rendition. I also read up on better flocking techniques, the acryl gloss clear testor bottles r nooo good. Seems to change to a blueish color. also micheals stopped carrying the multi-color/non/glitter sets but has a 2.29$ price on what mod.master equal would cost 20-25$ its a square can 4oz self shaker .... love it with sm. bottle testors of same color.. heres my progress. if anyone cares the top was the blueish/purple i tried to make for oyster the others are a more correct color, the car as all my projects has ben hiding from roomies 2 year old and my minpin jinx runnin 4 cover. issue handled thx 4 reading crappy post of of ###### work.
  3. I live right by the micheals at metro center, never any small testors or mm bottles, takes a year to get someone to open the spray paint cage(that sucks, you go in hoping to grab 1 maybe 3 quick things, no basket end up holding 10 things) then get to the register only to have issues with the coupons. But it's close and right now can't afford the "bench" on 19th, I miss the "real hobby lobby on 35th"..
  4. Well, Harry will love the bracket on p/s pump, it's not a floating ghost that is mounted by magic. lol
  5. Model. I think.lol; looks like a real nice boxart.
  6. WOW! Cruz you continue to out do your own work with each build. NIIICE!
  7. Good luck bro,keep the rubber side down and the shiney side up, I love the 80, my min-pin not so much; there is a "dog-o-mat" next to the truck wash. A lil ramp to walk him up, a leash to keep 'em there and a 6 cycle doggie car wash complete with airdry!
  8. ###### nice!!!!!!!!!!!!! so close to what i wanted to do, but i'm in cab redo mode, very very nice job.
  9. Wow! that looks exactly like the 429 my old man built20 years ago, to the "t", car builder,master painter, he got that ice finish with old gloss blk testor rattle can,toothpaste and clear. My model hating exwife made it disappear like the rest of my collection. I treasured that car and always wished i could do what he did with nothing, I recently picked 1 of these up wondering how to go with it. Thank you Harry for posting that b/b glossy beauty! I know where to go now, I hope it turns out close to that pic and my dads work. everything else just got put away..Sorry, that is also a nice 429, white on black, nice detail aswell. Hope my black one holds up.
  10. Set back, on frame get warped due to setting next to candle, working out new rearend too, ify on interior since dark green fade to lime ice didn't workout, black with chrome separator seems good, almost there, back glass actually fits perfectly in body/dash slot when assembled.. thanks for any ideas and thoughts.
  11. paint/stripe work left and some nicknacks, last Freightliner, I am glad grandpa only had Kw's and myself too,1 Western Stat'06, you need that Caddy every now and then;
  12. Tried to mix/match colors and flocks, got tired and called it close, will do dash mat too. heading to sink to wet sand, If I end up with a set of actual rims I'll swap them, I just want some "shelf candy", if you will. Have alot of small stuff on several things, gonna just slam this out,lol. I noticed the edges on seats closer afetr i posted pics, have since cleaned edges up. lol no battery or alocation on this one,,guess it's in the trunk or the overflow shall be a delco?,,Thanks for looking.
  13. When stumbled onto this threa, i can't how much i didn't do the rest of the day,lol. Have seen your tower come together, lotta work. The boogers on knife lines, wrongly drawn stripes ,yes the roomates extremely horrid child. Itried a few things today that will have paint going again. that kit is mother to seemless and smooth i almost cried..
  14. I started looking a bit closer at pics, your right the 566 wheel are the same as "MONOGRAMS CHEVY STREET VAN". until i get an actual set, I'll use them or the plain stocks. I kinow there out there. Carcrazy 81 did what I thought would be a fresh idea 20yrs later lol, he also did the mercury from 80's flick "COBRA" A Stallone movie.and here is his..maybe back then they came in differant issues etc. "With that release of the merc. being so popular shoul have known I didn't think of it 1st.
