thnx guys , came home and the paint on the table was dry , so i glued on the glass top and added a chrome center piece , not because of the glue , no you could not see the glue was under the glass , i just didnt like the center and thought it looked nice with a tad of real chrome

yeah could be .. now really thinking about the direction i want to go in..

sure i like it but i'm getting further from just a nice garage i wanted to make ...

i could have easely made a diner lol

i have to watch out i'm not going overboard on the 50's furniture and make like a too staged whole ...

you know ? like i want to get the rest looking more like a place where rods and custom come to life , get maintaned etc ...

so i have to think about what i need to do stylewise

like either go 100% for the theme i have now or make the rest a tad less out there and more normal ... bit stuck on the whole overall feel and look

after thinking about it for days and days .. i got stuck ..

tonight i was sick of the fact i could not come up with something and i didnt like the look ...

so i gathered a bunch of scrap wood and started building , no thinking just build , in no time i had this going on and the idea's started coming again !!

so the white pillars are thick , nice and stirdy , the wooden edge gives me room to continue the theme with stained wood , white and the racing blocks also the wide edge makes room for some advertising signs and what not ..

now later i will make windowframes in between the white pillars , a doorframe with opened door so scale wise thatw ill be good later on ... then i will add a ceiling on the office ..... that will give me the chance to put lighting in the office ....

so in the office i will keep the floor . but scrap the 50's furniture idea , instead i will put in some archive cabinets with books , a desk ... some office stuff and what not ..

so overall the garage will remain a cleaner one but with a more rough look , with rough i mean not the over the top 50's look with red bench and juke box etc .. looking back thats just not my thing for a dio .. one day i will do stuff like that but then i want to build a full diner / drive trough ...

crappy pics but for the idea .... stained the wooden office edge , that will get more detail later on

dont mind the door and window openings in the office , this is just the base i will make windowframes and a doorframe with a door and windows , in proportion so then it will fit the scale .. now those are just pillars with big open spaces that makes it look too big , so that will come together later on
