Matt T.
Built curbside from the Round2 Fred Lorenzen re-issue, this old kit went together very well except for having to resize the windows to get the interior to fit up inside, and a lack of positive mounting points for front and rear bumpers. I used all of the optional grand national pieces in the kit except the taillight covers - I made my own using stock bezels and sheet styrene. Paint is Tamiya Clear Red over Tamiya Gold. Plastic Performance Parts wheels and tires. Ace Decals. (Decals don't match side to side as I wanted both versions of Panch's sponsors that season.) More build pics in the "1965 Galaxie" album in the link in my signature.
bbowser
Nice work, very clean build. Nice detail on the gas filler, Firestone lettering on the tires.
High octane
Nice work on that "stock car" as I remember watching them back in the mid-60's.

Bob Ellis
Really nice model. Reminds me that 1965 is the second to last year of real stock car bodies (batches of 1966 Ford bodies from Holman-Moody were the last).
Lunajammer
As beautiful as the whole thing is, the wheels really give it that ring of authenticity.
