MCM Regular

MCM Regular (3/6)

  1. Put this together a couple years back. Box stock except for Satco slicks and Slixx decals. Hope you like it!
  2. Thanks to all for the kind words! The Altered kit and the Jeep kit were sitting on the shelf, and my warped mind took it from there
  3. Here's one I built a few years ago from the re-released AMT kit. The color doesn't come across well in the photos, but it's a metallic silver/gray with a pearl overcoat. The stripes came from a Slixx Pro Stock decal. Engine is the DeSoto from the AMT Effie, with the exhaust turnouts from an Edmunds supermod. The seats were from the parts box-Revell 1st generation Willys I believe. Not sure where I got the tool boxes for the trailer...
  4. Was cleaning up some of my photos and thought I'd share these- it's a heavily massaged "Hogan's Heroes" Jeep body on a "Winged Express" chassis. Transplanted a torsion-bar front suspension and a 427 Cammer. Bruce Harrison Anchorage, AK
  5. If this has been addressed previously, my apologies. Getting ready to tackle the re-released MPC Blue Max funny car, and was wondering (in general) what color should the inside of the body be painted? Body color? If it is left in "raw" fiberglass, what would be a good color match? Thanks in advance Bruce Harrison Anchorage, AK
  6. Perhaps it's a push bar to get out of snow drifts....
  7. Hi All, I've been going through some of my books and magazines and found a binder with several copies of the now-defunct Motor Racing Replica News. I have most of the 1st 25 issues (never got #1). Anyone care to venture a guess as to how valuable/collectible these magazines would be?
  8. I'd be much more interested in a "picklefork'-style hull that could be built as a modern ski-boat or drag boat. There are enough 1/16 scale drag-racing engine parts around that this would be a better path. Gotta agree with some of the folks posting in the other thread related to this - this would be a great project for "down the road", after something more mainstream is produced and sold...
  9. Check out these sites... http://www.almar.easynet.be/turbonique.htm http://iowahawk.typepad.com/iowahawk/2006/..._real_acme.html
  10. I picked up a couple of the Payhauler kits at an area Big Lots - $5.00 each...
  11. Was going through some catalogs last night and found an older one from RB Motion in Ohio. They produce some really neat machined aluminum detail bits. Are the still in business? TIA!!!
  12. The Deora kit, which was re-released fairly recently, has a slant-6 Mopar. Found one at Big Lots for $5 not long ago...
