MCM Ohana (6/6)

  1. Sounds like pilot error to me. Tragic for the young children.
  2. This is the Revell '67 Charger as a day 2 car. The suspension has been slightly lowered front and rear. Used the kits wheels with slightly wider tires. Some minor trim removed. The paint is Tamiya TE89 Pearl Blue and TS72 Clear Blue and TS65 Pearl Clear. The trim is all done with Bare-Metal Foil. Both front and rear bumpers have been brought closer to the body and the grill was also set into the body. The interior is done with TS58 Pearl Lt.Blue and semi-gloss clear. The carpet is done with Fuzzy Fur and chrome trim is all foiled. The windows are tinted with a couple of light coats of TS72 Clear Blue. The engine is lightly detailed with spark plug wires, dist., and heater hoses. Removed the chrome from the valve covers and painted them a semi-gloss black. Great kit with no fitment issues.
  3. Great looking paint finish and color. Building a model of past vehicles always brings back a lot of memories. These were some very nice trucks, and the one I owned was a 1500 Extended cab short bed 2wd. Went just over 100k miles before I sold it.
  4. Great looking paint finish and colors. Like the clean body trim.
  5. I agree with the others on your paint work and color. Much more eye catching than the drabber colors sometimes seen on this body style. Like your interior details and materials.
  6. My complements on getting the roof to operate, that is no easy task. Beautiful looking paint finish and two-tone color combination.
  7. Great looking intake manifolds. As to adapters between the carb and intake, they have been around for years. Usually, they were used to mount a carb. with a larger venturi area onto a stock intake manifold. While this may have helped in some cases, you're still trying to put more air and fuel into the engine, but the adapter is offering a restriction of the flow. I'm enjoying watching the way your build is going.
  8. You need to get an old Starters Cannon, like they used to use for starting sailboat races, and see how he likes that. Be sure and get yourself some ear plugs.
  9. Took my wife to see her doctor today for a follow up visit on her knee replacement. After 6 weeks her range of motion has almost returned to normal, and she isn't using her Cain any longer either. She also started driving again this week. Dancing may be a little while away yet.
  10. Great looking Charger. There is a blue one just like this in the neighborhood, can hear him every now and then out on the main street when he leaves his mark.
  11. Thes two should always be displayed together. Thay are both great at representing a real car in different conditions. The rust bucket looks like it might be beyond the point of restoring, and the white one looks freshly redone. Both are well detailed but in different ways. Shows a great range of thought and ability.
  12. The shade of blue looks even better than what Pontiac offered at the time. Like the big wheels that look like the OEM's.
  13. My condolences on the loss of your father. Your build looks great, and the colors and trim all look correct.
  14. Like the dark color with lots of metallic and the interior looks great.
  15. The decals look like they are for a different kit. Disappointing for sure.
