Instructions for AMT 87 Mustang GT

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

Does anyone know where I might find the instruction sheet for the AMT 87 Ford Mustang GT online?

I found: "AMT 88 Ford Mustang Millennium Edition" here:

http://public.fotki....988_ford_musta/

Does anyone know if they are the same kit with minor changes...or if they are totally different?

Thanks,

Brian

I could always. "Snail mail" you hard copies of the directions... I have a couple different issues of that kits newer and older let me know if u want me to make photo copies and send em to you?

I appreciate the offer. That won't be necessary. I just wanted to find out if they had a standard or automatic trans. The one I found linked above shows an automatic and not the T5. :(

If you have them in easy reach, would you look and see if any of them have the standard? I would imagine they are all automatic though.

The 1/24 Monogram T-bird Turbo Coupe kit has a T-5 5-speed

It has been confirmed. The kit is an automatic. :( I hate autos  (I used to have to rebuild 1:1s).

Thanks Casey,

I can't afford to buy a kit just to grab the trans. If they would even match up with the scale difference. Not that any of the seemed to be scaled accurately anyway.

You do know you can make the kit a manual by simply cutting off the trAnsmission @ the bellhouse, like casey said there are other kits with manual transmissions and wala. 5 speed powered fox stang in 1/25 :) I too struggle with this autos are junk the old mpc fox kits only came as auto, witch according to my 5.0 book there is some truth and accuracy to. In 79 you could get the toploader 4 speed manual then it all went auto untill 82' and again 4 speed srod, don't think the t- came into play untill 83 year model gt's. Hope this helps
