Al Rogers Posted December 24, 2006 Share Posted December 24, 2006 Built straight from the box except for the wheels and tires (Pegasus Chrome Ts with the centers painted graphite metallic and photo etched key and keyfob and a little BMF. The paint is PPG Deltron dark green metallic base and PPG Concept 2000 clearcoat. All built in 3 days thanks to the paint dries quickly and requires no polishing. This was the first time I used this kind of paint so it was a quick build, just a shelf model. It won't be the last one I use this paint on. Thanks to all who commented on it. Al Rogers Posted January 12, 2007 Author Share Posted January 12, 2007 Harvezter, I do use a powerful magnifier. For guages I use flat arcrylic craft paint for the backgrounds and artist colored pencils for the numbers and needles. This is a little tricky but remember to keep the pencils as sharp as possible and use very light pressure on them. Use the best pencils you can find, I buy mine at a local art supply store. Most of the chrome is done with a artist paint marker with a .003 tip but if possible I do use BMF but not on this Mustang. I almost always put a key in the ignition switch.
