Clarkson does it again.

Recommended Posts

Question.....how long will it stayed cancelled? A week or a month? Clarkson earned 3 million pounds last year and was BBC's top earning star. Top Gear is BBC's biggest money maker.

Who goes, the star, the producer or the show?

Not going to be A or C.

Curious fact, one of the principle reasons for Top Gear America being cancelled is fighting between the three hosts. Rumor has it Adam tried to punch out Tanner. Foolish move on Adam's part.

The only thing that could very make B the choice is Clarkson was on his "final warning" with the BBC, now, at one point Clarkson and Andy both own the rights to the show, so in theory, they could take show to another network if the BBC cans JC. But , I also read that JC sold his remaining stake in the show to the BBC, so I am not 100% sure on that part.

This is what supposedly happen

Jeremy Clarkson is on the brink of leaving the BBC as witnesses revealed he was suspended after a ridiculous row over a steak.

The Top Gear presenter is being investigated after an apparent ‘dust-up’ with one of his producers, Oisin Tymon, over being offered only a ‘cold platter’ for dinner at a luxury hotel.

According to a witness, Clarkson demanded steak after a long day of filming and became furious when he was told that the hotel’s chef had gone home.

Clarkson has admitted there was ‘handbags and pushing’ over the incident, which took place at Simonstone Hall Hotel in North Yorkshire, but denies claims that he punched Mr Tymon.

The production team had been scheduled to take a helicopter to their next location after filming, and return to the hotel at 8pm last Wednesday.

However, Clarkson kept the helicopter waiting for three hours while he sat in a pub, Channel 4 reported.

The dinner service was cancelled by kitchen staff because the crew were two hours late. Clarkson is then understood to have become embroiled in a row about the dinner with Mr Tymon, whom he blamed for the mix-up.

Second, as of right now, TGUSA has in fact, not been canceled, It just rumors, same as the one that says the show is returning in June of this year.

There is no way the BBC will cancel Top Gear unless Clarkson really forces the issue. My guess is that there will be some form of public apology from Jezza, the producer will move on to another show, and Clarkson will continue on in his capacity as TG's resident oaf until he does something truly horrendous like punch a small child or buy an Astra diesel.

No as there have been rumors of TG moving to the Sky network

Wouldn't moving Top Gear to another network give them less viewers?

I do also think that there would probably be some public apology from Jeremy and that the show will go on but I do understand BBC as he has on so many ocations said and done things that he should have not.

celebrities do stupid things on the spur of the moment and often make apologies later... Clarkson is a known quantity and certain behavior seems expected or at least not unexpected from him. Part of his persona, it endears him to some and demonizes him to others. We have plenty of our own stateside boors to serve as bad examples. Hopefully calmer minds prevail, TG goes on, and Clarkson remains.

I like Clarkson. In fact I like all three of the hosts. And I do like that they are not alway "politically correct." At the same time, I do not approve of some of the racial comments that has gotten Clarkson in trouble in the past. The BBC version is so much better than the U.S. version. I could care less if the US came back or not. But, the BBC version with Clarckson? I hope it goes on forever.

I know that the "Orangutan" can be very belligerent, but from what I've seen this happens all to often with people who have been pampered far to much for far to long. Sometimes we all need to be struck by lightning just to bring us back to reality. All that said I hope that something can be worked out so that Top Gear can go on.

Doubt it its a popular show with a strong following so where they go the viewers will go.

Everything I read about Jeremy Clarkson points to him being an out of control, egomaniacal, self centered jerk. He's the least tolerable of the three hosts on the program.

Eh, dunno bout that, I don't know him personally, gonna assume you don't either. And not debating here as I don't want to start a flame war over a stranger.

However the only ones who can really make a character judgement are his family and friends.

Besides if he or TG go off air, my life will remain as is. Its all cannon fodder in the end, albeit the kind of cannon fodder I enjoy immensely but still.

I'm actually a pretty big fan of Jeremy Clarkson.

He's sarcastic, rough around the edges... but I find it rather entertaining. I enjoyed his voiceovers for some of the car descriptions in the Forza Motorsport games as well.

Idk. I just wouldn't enjoy Top Gear as much without him as a host. I like his humor, and it just wouldn't be the same without it.
