62rebel
that is fantastic. there were still a lot of these stations in use when I was still living in and near Lynchburg Va in the 90's. not many were still service stations, but there were a couple. be sure to put a grease pit in there. Repstock
The wall with the bay doors is complete. The letters were carved from .060 styrene. I'm glad that it's over with! Paint is DupliColor White acrylic lacquer.
Paul Bunyan
You can trust your car to the man who wears the star, lol..back in the 60's/70's Texaco was ripping off its customers by charging for parts the mechanic never replaced. I think 60 minutes went to a few stations and proved that fact. Edited March 30, 2014 by Paul Bunyan

Repstock
I'm posting this from work. I have lost internet access at home. When it is restored, I'll start updating. Work on the station continues. All lighting is from LEDs.
Eshaver
Dan, it's like a particle board with two really smooth faces . I's about a 1/4 inch thick and it's used in the exhibit business for signage .
peekay
Amazing! I can barely imagine someone carving those roman letters out of styrene. You have extraordinary skills.
Repstock
While the walls were drying, i decided to start on the pumps. I want to light them, and save money, so I made my own.
