Bowtienutz
I picked up a Revell uptown Charger. A real disapointment. A diecast in plastic. I'd like to do a conversion to a 2 door Charger ike at the link. Any ideas that can lead to kitbashing for a good chassis and engine for the project? http://www.automotivestylings.com/design.htm Vince
MrObsessive
Vince, why not the chassis and running gear out of the '06 Magnum? Or really get crazy and use the engine and tires out of the new Viper?! That'll get some attention..............definitely a "What if?" kind of conversion!

Bill I hate you, like I need more voices in my head telling me this stuff. I was thinking about Magnum kit. But the viper wasn't on my radar screen till now. Bowtienutz
IMHO, you're going to have serious difficulty kitbashing the Revell SRT kit because of its diecast engineering origins. My advice ... take the kit at face value and build it as a nice-looking curbside. Ditch the cartoon wheels, glue the Lambo doors closed and lay down a nice paint job and you'll be well on your way. For a more detailed Charger build of ANY kind, including a conversion to a two-door, you'd be MUCH better off with one of the Testors kits. They're a little on the pricey side, but, if you have Hobby Lobby nearby, you can save 40 percent on one by using a coupon from their Web site or from one of their newspaper ads. Thanks Ken, the more I look at this the more. I wish I had some fireworks left over. No Hobby Lobby in these parts. I'll take a cruise over to Fantastic Plastic this week and pick up a a Testors kit, I just might have to look and see if a Viper kit is available too. Is the Testors Charger full detail ? BIGTRUCK
testors Charger Daytona R/T is 1/24th with 150 parts...price 23 to 29 bucks...Lincoln mint ultra detail plastic kit in a ten cent box, outer decals only, dash has a chrome insert but no gauge faces and yet the center console is 5 pieces....not a bad kit , gas door is even a seperate piece..
