As I said earlier, Due to the Trunk lock being In the first 0 5-"0"-0,

they Left the Fairlane 500 trunk trim on ALL 59 Galaxies, Not just the Skyliner!!

I almost Bought a 4dr Sedan and It had that 'V' trim between the

back-up lights with the Fairlane 500 Script and the Trunk lock was under that 0.

You are correct about all Galaxies having the Fairlane 500 trunk trim. I stand corrected. My main point was that Skyliners were Fairlane 500s first and then Galaxies. The 500 cars are seen as more desirable to some Skyliner enthusiasts. Also, the interior design of the Skyliner was unique to that car until used in all later Galxies.

I will have to look up to see the number of Fairlane 500 vs Galaxie Skyliners!

I have the book "Standard Catalog of American Cars 1946-1975

for that.

I know Galaxie was a Mid-year intro, but how far into the year was it??

And, Though the Hinging mechanism in the kit is good, it is FAR from accurate to the actual car.

There was no package shelf behind the rear seat, but, it is part of the kit.

It is how the roof is held to the hinges.

Also, to get the front part of the roof to flip down, but still fit tight to the main section in the

Up position, I had to change them from flat against the underside, to angled downward at the hinge point

Which is more like the actual car too

I would love one myself.

ANY Year

Or maybe an EDSEL Skyliner!!!

58 Or 59!!

There are a few out there too!!!!!

Most 58's still have the Ford Tail fin in place too!!!!!
