  1. I have a full size Fiat altered that I always wanted to do an 1/8th scale model of it...I would be interested when you start making resin bodies for sale.
  2. Do you have any detail shots of the scratch built front axle? I have not seen any accurate straight axles in kit form. I would like some ideas for building one myself.
  3. I built this kit back in 1970...The chassis was warped in that kit too. A lot of dragster hung weight bars on the front axle to keep from doing excessive wheelstands. I solved my bent chassis with a reworked fishing weight.
  4. Nine inch slicks are the perfect size for Injected altereds and dragsters. Gas cars would run a two speed transmission and the fuel cars would run direct drive. These kind of cars needed some tire slippage to get going off the line so they could run a taller gear ratio. Of couse this is sixties technolgy, that does not apply to modern day dragsters.
  5. A friend of mine heard they are reissueing Exterminator Dragster in the original box. I have not been able to find any conformation of this on line. Anybody have any information on this kit?
  6. Could you explain how you built the front axle and spring?
  7. I did this model around 1990... The chassis was made from Evergreen styrene, with a front axle assembly from Revell parts pack ( I wish they would reissue those again my supply has dried up). Hand made aluminum body, with dry transfer lettering. Rear wheels are from AMT's 32 Coupe, the front tires and wheels, I think they are from a Garlits dragster. The Olds engine is an AMT from the 40 Ford sedan. I don't recall where the intake came from, but I do remember making all the linkage from aluminum sheet and piano wire, that was quite a chore. Paint is Dupli-Color for the body, and Testers flat silver for the chassis components.
  8. http:// Thank you for the warm welcome. I think I got the photo posting figured out as well.
  9. I have been lurking here for a few months and really enjoy this site. I have been building models off and on forty five years. My interest are drag cars and hot rods from the 50's and 60's. Once I get comfortable navigating around this site I will post some of my builds. Look forward to contributing...
  10. Here is another vote for the Roadster Chassis Speed Equiptment. I think these are the best I beam and straight axles ever produced in 1/25 scale, every part on this parts pack tree was perfect. I have several stalled drag car projects cause I can't find a realistic straight axle.
