  1. Bill, Your the man that's exactly what I was looking for. Thanks a bunch
  2. I'm in the process of building a replica of a 1:1 SUV that I used to have. I'm new to the adult modeling scene but think I have a clear path for all of the changes and modifications needed to match the 1:1 version except for the headlights. That one has me stumped. Below are some photos of the real headlights. I plan to remove the oval shapes in an existing headlight that I have filled with filler from and older version model of the 1:1. But I cannot figure out how to make a clear lense to go over the headlight once its completed. Has anyone used a clear filler type material that would work to smooth over the unit once its complete? Is there a way to re-chrome a part? Possibly with chrome paint?
  3. looks nice. Some day i'd like to do one of these or better yet if someone makes a JK then i can make one to match our 1:1. Are your tires on correctly? I can't tell something looks a bit off with the directonals.
  4. I believe that both of the lindberg ZR2 (chevy and GMC) kits came with BFG Baja tires but as said earlier they are 1/20th. The only other that comes to mind are the BFgoodrich tires from the Xmods trucks, they have a very simiar wheel to whats on the Bug in your original post also
  5. I'm not aware of any cabs that are a standard 3 window. Maybe there is a COE cab that can be modified? I have a 1:1 1948 GMC 3/4 ton standard cab (3 window) that i'm planning on doing a scale model of at some point. I have a few of the new AMT Texaco trucks that i'm going to use for my build. Also i'm pretty sure there are some major differneces in GMC grills. The 47-48 GMC grills are 3 bar and 49+ are 4 bar. and at some point towards the end of the advance desing error they went to the very large chrome grill
  6. Aaron, Awsome truck, at this time i dotn have any questions. I was just trying to find the photos of it. Thanks Phil
  7. Jeffs396 thats not it but that is a very nice build!!!! Mikemodeler thats the one. i searcehd AaronW on google and forest service truck and found him on another site. Here is the truck i was looking for. Guess it was a 1960 not a 64.
  8. When I first joined this site I remember seeing photos of a 64ish chevy truck that was 4x4 green, had utility boxes on what I think was a long bed. It was setup as a park ranger type truck I believe. I have searched off and on for the past few months and cannot find the thread or any photos of this truck any longer. It was before the pickup, van, SUVs, Light commercial was split into under glass and WIP forums. Does any one know where those photos are at? I'm prepairing to start a simlar build and wanted some motivation.
  9. Nice build. I have always liked the bravada bumpers on these trucks. I'll be following this one closely as the interior and grille that your working on is the next step in a build that i have had on the back burner. I had a 04 Blazer ZR2 that I put a full Envoy front end on that i am trying to recreate in a model.
  10. I have been coresponding with Ron at RMR and he has sent me the info that I was looking for along with a photo. Looks like the kit comes with quite a few items and not just the cab. He also has 2 choices of bed configuration. I believe that the bed is the same and appear to be long beds. For a few more $$$ you can get dually fenders. I'm getting ready to order this kit with one of each bed. Will post photos when I do for anyone else interested. I'd stil like to see some photos of finished products if anyone has purchased this kit.
  11. I'm planning my next project and would like to get more info and hopefully some photos of RMR's Chevy Crew Cabs. They offer 2 a 73-79 and a 75. Has anyone purchased one of these kits? If so please post or PM some photos and yout opinions of the kit, etc.
  12. It is 1:25 and appears to be from Mad Mudder. Thanks for your help guys. Now does anyone have one?
  13. We have this piece that came with a kit. However we do not know what kit. I thought about posting this in the trivia section but since we want to purchase a second I figured I would start here first. I think it is from an older kit. Its a 2 piece derby type style header. Does anyone know what kit this part is from or better yet have one they want to sell. Thanks in advance
  14. looks great, I have one similar that I am almost done with. I'm not a big Ford guy but these bronco's sure look nice. 1:1 and in model form.
