A 1971 Dodge dealership diorama

Hey guys!

I'm in the process of building an AMT/Ertl '71 Dodge Charger. First of all, the kit's going very well. I'm simply modeling the kit exactly as SAE builder Tim Boyd demonstrated his expertise on how to build the same model five years ago back in 2002. Now, I'd to take it one step further, and make a diorama out of it by turning the clock back in time. I want to make the diorama as a time machine to Friday, April 23, 1971. To begin, I want to put the Charger, when it's complete in a showroom dealership floor of a Dodge dealership, say Grand Spaulding Dodge in Chicago. I was just wondering how to go about and get started with a project like this. Anyone have any ideas? Please help!

Thanks

Hi...69 Mach 1......The first step is, get photos of front and side views of the exact place or space that you are interested , perspective or anlge photos are better . Then decide if a one , two or three wall diorama is best for your model car . Get the right scale , do some sketching. I always do a preliminary cardboard diorama with less details , this helps me to do decide the backdrop , full details , angle , colors , and final adjustments..............have fun...............Barbo
