  1. Everything greg said is true,i made the petty superbird years ago,it was my first jo-han i ever had.I was impressed with them, always liked them since too.I only wish they had made Semis,i am more into them then cars,im sure they would have made some obscure stuff.Get them you will not be dissapointed.
  2. I think there used to be one in the 49 ford kit from AMT,the convertible car ,i had one and i used it on a Mack truck, they used to have one for the Maxidyne motors? in some of the 70"s R600 models. harvey
  3. That looks like some of the decorator pieces you would see at bed bath and beyond type of stores?Ive seen some VW buses that look like they were made by the same people.Does it say what scale it is supposed to be,the VW buses looked like 1/8 scale, lots of burnt welds and rust-patina on them too, actually looked pretty cool for a ornament, here in Canada Home-Hardware used to have them. harvey
  4. That Dodge truck looks like it was a school bus in a former life, the roof looks to be cut off at the top of the windsheild? harvey
  5. I always thought the AMT car hauler trailer would be a neat Rat Fink hauler,I would use the Ford C-800 for the truck and load the trailer with some of the Fink cars.Would look pretty neat all painted in the lime green and purple. That way you could justify the chrome spoke wheels that comes in the kit,im sure Big Daddy would of used them on his truck?.. Harvey
  6. Not sure if this is whats up,but a lot of folks are on holidays this time of year?.Adds a lot of time to some simple tasks.Took me 2 weeks to get a key programmed, the first guy who had to cut the blank was out, when he came back to work, the fellow who was to program it was gone?. Hang in there im sure they will eventually show up.๐Ÿ˜€
  7. I like it too,the blue engine is correct for this type of ford, back in the day most all the truck companies had their factory colors on the motors.Kenworth was white IH was red and ford was blue,Macks were gold.not sure about any others.Cool truck ,they were so ugly they were good looking๐Ÿ˜. harvey
  8. They should be the same,as long as they both have the push on wheels?,another thing you could try is ,use the metal axes and wheels from a AMT kit,put a small hole in the backing plate and run the metal axle through it,the same way an Amt kit is.You would have to cut off the "pointy" stub on the rear end first. I have done it before,it looks as good as any wheel on there. harvey
  9. I said it was the astro,no mention of the titan in my post?It was the first release of the astro that has the rear installed grille,I have a newer issue that has the outside mounted grille, the same as a titan.
  10. That orange looks like a schneider truck?,looks very nice so far. harvey
  11. A good spot to find models is at a car swap meet, lots of them there, but you have to get there on the first day as lots of vendors buy from each other to resell at their table. Also with the big surge in new models being made there should be more turning up at the goodwill?. harvey
  12. I think some of the early issues of the astro had a flush mount grille, the later ones have a grille that sticks out from the body?.Myself i like the flush mount one better, not sure if the titan ever came that way?The flush mount grille installs from the rear side and the other goes in the front side. The last years of the astro had a grille that was very similar to the general truck,it was a lot larger, wasnt bad looking at all. harvey
  13. I was there too,i must have been walking around just behind you,i seen all the cars you took pics of.๐Ÿ˜. First time there, was amazed at how big the car show is,there were a lot of guys going with models, lot of sellers there had them, some reasonably priced others not?. harvey
  14. That car is a 30-31 ford model A, not a 32.they look similar but not the same body. harvey
  15. most of the early ones were red, around 1970 or so they went yo the the corporate blue color. At least thats how i remember them. harvey
