freakshow12
Thanks guys. Got the last clear on the body and now I'm clearing my 69 bee off the bench and full tilt on this
microwheel
Hi Fred, this one is coming along nice. I had to take a day or two break away from my Mini Cooper build so I could work on getting a new clutch in my 1:1 MG Midget. But I hope to be back to work on it in a day or two. Did you ever get your 69 Bee done?
freakshow12
Hey Jim, clutch just wear out? I have still been sick but am kicking it now. The bee will be under glass today
microwheel
Yeah, it was getting the dreaded throw out bearing rattle. So it was time to do something about it. Bad part about the Midgets is the engine has to be pulled to get to the clutch.
freakshow12
Paint is polished out and tonight is the task of masking trim. Yay. Pics of that tonight Edited August 26, 2014 by freakshow12
freakshow12
Well, I have an update. Likely the toughest and scariest part of the build was doing this to freshly polished calypso green
freakshow12
I guess now it's a late 91 car with this color and the black trim. Door handles will be done later. Outside pics tmo but I think it's shaping up nice
slusher
Trim looks great Fred, nice crisp lines..
Johnny1973
Very nice job on the trim.
wayne swayze
I had reservations on the black trim, but now I see it on...it looks really good! Keep up the fine work.
microwheel
It's looking good Fred, I know what ya mean about masking off to paint trim on a freshly polished body. It's scary when you've screwed up a few that way lol.
webestang
Looks fantastic! I myself prefer the trim black cause like you I own 2 1:1 Fox Pony's, a 85 and a 88, and their trim is black.
JTalmage
That is a thing of beauty!!!
Jaguar man 21
Great detail, I wish I built my drag foxbody in the same color
66belair
I didn't like that color when it was new but it has grown on me over the years. Nice work, can't wait to see more

freakshow12
Got a bit more done. Here are outside pics of what stance will be
freakshow12
Also did a cage. You guys that do that all the time are AMAZING!! I've got tons to learn. I started with .62 rod but that went poorly. I switched to .62 solid solder I had here and it bends so nice. I pinned it all and all straight pieces are styrene rod
wayne swayze
GREAT STANCE!! Looking real good!

Roncla
This is shaping up to be one tuff LX.
Byron5150
Looking very sharp, nice color! Those drag slicks would look more real if they were a little more flat looking (color wise) in a appearance. Other than the pics make it look real. freakshow12
Thanks guys. It should be a sweet combo with the gt500 engine and 6 speed with a few speed parts. The tires will be toned down a little when I get that far. The soft resin they are cast in really catches the light.
