Fat Rat
Well, where to begin with this one. I started this kit in September, thinking this would be a rather easy build. But that's not how it worked out. I started with an AMT 1957 chevy, and had a 1966 Nova pro-street that I used as a donor car. I had to modify a few things to get it work right. The front wheels are from the AMT 56 ford. This one is a bit of a frankenstein's monster, as most components come from other kits.I also used BMF on this. Not the first time I've done it. I think I'm getting better at it. The interior has been modified quite a bit. I used the Nova's interior as a starting point. I made it a point to use the 57's dashboard. I had to do some trimming to get it to fit right. Next, I scratch built a roll bar, using some spare sprue pieces and some styrene tube. The seats come from a late eighties corvette, as I really didn't like the seats the nova came with. I added a shifter I left over from my Superbee. The steering wheel is from the 56 ford. I modified it to fit. One more pic for now. I'll try to post some more soon.
