Help with a build please ...

Recommended Posts

Recently a High School friend of mine's father passed. He was a logger in and around the N.Conway NH, Fryeburg Maine area. I remember my Dad would buy lumber from him every spring & fall for the campground we owned on Kezar Lake in Lovell Me.., needless to say the splitting maul and I became close .. Unfortunately the truck is being sold on, so, as a gift to my friend I'm building her a replica. I have a few pics of it, but this is the best one yet .. If you can steer me in the right direction as to what kit would be best to start with, I think I can handle the rest ! ( famous last words ) I thank you in advance for your time & input ..

As already stated the Mack R-685 kit is your best bet as a base kit, some serious scratchbuilding will be involved! the truck pictured is an R-Model with what appears to be a Prentice self-loader,can't help much with that, but would certainly be able to help out with any Mack specific related questions or information,ie: specific colors options, etc glad to help!................................Mark
