Russell C
My Diablo Flambé seen in more pics at my thread here. Flames upon flames. Had a co-worker of mine use my CorelDRAW electronic file to cut the base out of clear plastic sheet that had a thin black laminate on the bottom, and then he engraved through the laminate to create the lettering, which I spray painted red. Spiffy effect, used a black magic marker to 'color' the sides of the clear sheet material. Jantrix
Holy cow. I've just realized that a flame job either by decals or paint is something I've yet to do. Well successfully that is. I laid these a while back. I let them dry for a week and they wrinkled when I laid acrylic clear over them. That's is something I shall have to remedy. traditional
I even have mild flames on my HHR panel.
Foxer
I have a photo from my youth, but the black smoke from the burning plastic obscured the flames. Some really cool flame jobs here!
Tom Geiger
I have a photo from my youth, but the black smoke from the burning plastic obscured the flames. When I was 12 I decided to get a picture of a car on fire. So I lit up my Tijuana Taxi and snapped a picture of it on fire with my Polariod Swinger camera. It burned to the ground while I waited the 30 seconds for the photo to develop... and all I got was a picture of a bright spot!
Jon Haigwood
No Flame paint jobs in my bunch. I will most likely do some Scallops first

spencer1984
Like Tom, I only have only little flame car in my bunch: I even have mild flames on my HHR panel. That looks really good, one of the best upgraded HHRs I've seen. What's the main color, and what are the wheels?
traditional
Hi Bill, The paint on my 2008 HHR is called 'Merlot Jewel Metallic Clearcoat' and the wheels are from Moon Equipment . They carried the only 'Halibrand style' wheels that would fit on Chevy HHRs at the time. There may be others now. I bought the car/truck new in late 2008 when the dealer was having a really hard time selling a 'loaded' panel truck. I've always liked 'sedan deliveries, and here was my chance to have a totally dependable and economical interesting vehicle. It's strictly a toy to me....not a daily driver and it doesn't see even rain, let alone snow. I also have a regular HHR wagon that I use as a daily driver. Jantrix
Thats too bad, Rob, I really like those flames on the white paint. Thanks. I'll get back to the build soon but I doubt I'll do the white again. Flames are a solid maybe though, because I just scored another couple sets of those decals.

As my old ships got old from switching to cars I had a Christ Craft that my cousin and I set afire and pushed it out into a small pond .. was pretty awesome with all the black smoke. .eheh it sailed pretty well and balanced .. until the burned out hole in the hull sunk it.
