  1. Thank you everyone for your information. I'm feeling pretty confident I can have something complete in time for Oct 5th. So Ne.here we come!
  2. Does anyone know of any contests in Iowa for the remainder of 2013 and 2014? Also how about any model clubs in Iowa?
  3. Ty everyone for you helpful tips I used easy off and it worked just fine with no hassles.
  4. How long do you allow the parts to soak in the bleach before removing the unwanted chrome plating?
  5. Finally here is the body painted in Royal Blue. Definitely not finished, Im contemplating wether or not to cut the doors? Please all comments and ideas are welcomed and encouraged. Thank you for looking and stay tuned for more updates! Also added some other random pictures of this build.
  6. I scratched up a few cowls this morning! First time ever doing this. In my opinion the car looks better with them, but Im wondering what others think? Below are some pictures of the new cowls.
  7. I also added a scratch built external fuel pump and paint, then installed the tank in its appropriate location. I also added a fuel line from the fuel pump to the carberator. Fuel line was made from #30 gauge stripped wire.
  8. So after looking everything over I realized there was no fuel tank so I scratch built one from some extra flashing and sprew from parts tree. Following are pictures of the primered chassis with no fuel tank, unpainted/unsanded fuel tank, and the flashing and sprew used to make the tank

  13. My name is Pete and Im new to this forum but have been building models for the better part of 30 years. I have dabbled into a little of everything including, aircraft, aircraft carriers, military tanks and soldiers, nascar, and of course I find myself always returning to muscle cars. Im sure most of you are already aware but being the father of 4 great children my building tine is cut considerably short. Im currently building a 1970 Dodge Super Bee Pro Street by AMT. Pictures to follow soon.
