DumpyDan
Hello fellow modeller's , this my latest build it is a 1919 Olds fruit truck. The idea for this build came from a calendar photo, needless to say they are going to have to deal without June this year. I started with the Beverly Hillbillies Truck, well a few parts, the frame, motor, wheels, grill, hood and a few other odds and ends from the kit. I scratch build the body from styrene, I even made the baskets from paper towel (white glue, water, craft paint), fruit is made from foam balls I painted. Made the scale hanging from the ceiling and a sandwich board even made the canopy's from paper towel. I started this little project only 4 weeks ago, I had such a good time building this one, thanks for looking. ENJOY!

mnwildpunk
So you just soak the paper towel in a water glue mixture then put it around a form and let it dry for the canopy?
DumpyDan
Not even soak, just put it in and take it out, put into the shape you want, let dry over night on clear food wrap.

Silver Foxx
A real nice looking build , lots of great detail built into it .
Tom Geiger
Very cool and nice. If the board had a "Model of the Day" this would be it! Most folks didn't see potential in the BH kit, but it's an excellent light commercial base. Ken Kitchen built a couple of varieties from it.
