Bennyg
Not much for truck people. Jordan White
I'm intrigued about the 1:16 VW Bus. I'm guessing that it will use the same drivetrain and suspension parts as the Beetle and Ghia.
1972coronet
I'm intrigued about the 1:16 VW Bus. That's the kit that really grabbed my attention . A 1/16 scale Bus ! How cool is that !
Zarana-X
I'm intrigued about the 1:16 VW Bus. I'm guessing that it will use the same drivetrain and suspension parts as the Beetle and Ghia. Hmm. Depends what shortcuts they take. On the real one, only the engine block is the same. The cooling fan, intake, transmission and all of the supsension on a bus is unique to them. Jordan White
Yup, found that out while helping work on my dad's Bug. I'm hoping they do different parts, but based on the lack of detail and some of the shortcuts they took for the Beetle kit, I'm not holding my breath. I doubt it, the Bug and Ghia kits are old kits, dating back to (I believe) the eighties. I am pretty much sure that this will be an all new tooling. Including engine, drivetrain and such. Seeing what they are doing with the latest kits (Trabant, Golf mk1) I am pretty confident it will be a jewel. And not like the Revell USA Mustang 1/
Jordan White
Hmm I didn't realize they dated back that far. I guess I'll have to wait for some more pics then.
The Creative Explorer
I was a bit wrong, it wasn't the eighties, but close. The Beetle and Karmann were issued in 1991. At least, that is the earliest date I could find.
