  1. Slick looking car, Love the wheels!!!!
  2. Thanks for all the info guys. It looks like the best bang for the buck will be on ebay. I only have about 30 kits, nothing extraordinarily rare. Still, I'll post the list once I pit it together. And yes, I am in NJ :-)
  3. Hello, I wanted to ask the group about some things. I have been out of the hobby for a number of years, My 1:1 VW Hobby took over my time and budget. I am also moving soon to a smaller place; that being said I will need to clear out all of my unused hobby stuff. Sadly this includes my modeling kits. I am aware that this forum only deals in trading. What I am looking for is assistance in getting realistic pricing for what I have. I will make an inventory and take photos. I would also be interested in any recommendations as to where the best place to offer the kits at. I did see www.emodelcars.com, but it did not look like it gets much traffic, however yall would have a much better idea than i would. I'll be away this weekend, but I'll start on the inventory on Monday. I appreciate the help. Thanks, Marc
  4. I love this body style Chevy Pickup. My favorite!!!! This was a simple out of the box build, other than the wheels / tires. It was my first attempt using desoldering wire to mimic steel braided hose in the engine, and learning blackwash. That is the only detail work in the engine... I like how the grill, air cleaner and door seams worked out with the blackwash. THe cowl air intake not so much.
  5. This is a tamiya curbside Early 90's Toyota Supra Castrol Oil Race Car. First Time doing clear over decals. The dang Bridgestone decal on the front haunts me to this day LOL
  6. This is a nascar Ford Thunderbird racer I built, forget the kit make or the drive / year I would guess early 90's. I got it for almost nothing on a closeout bin, I went my own way on it, which was the plan from the start. If I recall correctly the whole point for me was to try the realistic tire scuffing I had read about. Enjoy.

    My 66 Chevelle

Thanks guys. And snake45 Thanks, the whole flip front was a pain to align!
  8. words escape me. superb craftsmanship tho. top notch skillz man!!!
  9. Love the VW's!!!! Great work. Ever since I got my first Air Cooled, the 1:1 VW hobby, took over my hobby time and budget...
  10. @kruelworld I only have detail shots of the 1:1. The next time he has it out I'll get one. Thanks everyone, probably the best I've ever done.

    My 32 Ford

Thanks!!! I'm Marc, THe paint was a flat indigo blue with clear over it. Do not recall the brands, it wa 10 years ago LOL. THe kit was the Revell you could build with or without the fenders. The highrise and carbs were from the spare parts bin, the plug wires are motor winding from radio shack and holes with a pin vice. Wheels and tires are store bought from AAA hobbies in NJ. Thanks, the blackwash makes a huge difference IMHO with too bright chrome :-) Thanks again, Marc

    GT 40

This is an old kit, aurora maybe. The rims were well done but the tires were dreadful just look at the spare so they got swapped. I cut out the back land added mesh along with aluminum tube for the exhaust. The was on of my earlier attempts with customization.
  13. Here it is, I added 2 pix of the 1:1 engine and interior
  14. The 66 was for me so I could learn how to do masking tape vinyl roof, and chrome foil. THe 66 also has Ferrari F40 wheels and seats, scratch built roll cage. I was learning how so I could reproduce my step fathers 67 427 SS
