drodg
I haven't posted pictures in a few weeks on the progress of my B5 Cuda. I finally got back to working on it this last week after coming to a standstill with the holidays. The car is going well and I am pretty happy with the paint as I continue to add Bare Metal Foil and probably do some more polishing on the paint. I am using Scale Finishes enamel with a clear coat of Testors laquer clear.

FASTBACK340
Looks good Dave! B5 is a sweet color for the E bodies. Question: I see your primer can paint stand. I have "access" to a "renewable" source of that primer. I haven't tried it yet on plastic. If you have how does it fill, sand, and protect the plastic? Is it a good barrier for lacquer or color bleed? I have to get mine in color soon…..

I had used other primers and I was having a problem with some plastics crazing (sp?) on me so a friend of mine who did body work suggested self etching primer. I have used it on resin and plastic with absolutely no issues. I use mostly lacquer but this Cuda is enamel and both paints seem fine. I really have never experienced color bleed but I cannot remember like painting a red plastic kit and priming and trying to paint a lighter color. So I am not sure how good it is as a barrier for color bleed. Thanks everyone again for your encouragement.
FASTBACK340
Thank you for your quick reply. I'll "secure" some for my inventory ASAP. Let's see some more of your build!

drodg
I did a preliminary body fit with the interior and chassis yesterday. Btw the radiator and the front panel seem to be a real tight fit! I should get some more BMF done this week, the glass and the interior mounted to the body. I will post pictures. Thanks everyone.
