tramprod
just started on the Revells 68 firebird of the overhaulin show buit by Chip Foose. but the revell kit does not live up to the foose standards, so with a kittle bit of work ive got it lowered and all the emblems removed and the 1st coat of black layed down
slusher
The black looks excellent. looking forward to your build..
Guest
It's looking nice so far Dwayne! The lowering job helped it a ton! It's so lame that Revell can't even manage to mold calipers on their disc brakes anymore. They used to mold them with the rotors, but now they don't. Jantrix
I was hoping someone would do this box stock in the Foose fashion just so the haters can see it done right. Keep it going.
Deathgoblin
I was hoping someone would do this kit and correct the suspension. looking good so far!
dimebolt
Looks good man. I just did a black cuda, so I know how hard they are to make look good. Corey
tramprod
the disc rotors are just a decal not even plastic so you would think they could print a caliper on it too. i am happy with the dtance but i did want to lower it more but the cross member would be touching the ground and it would be unrealistic
66belair
A lowered suspension would be nice right out of the box. I slap agree at this point you would think Revell would ugrade an already great kit correctly. All things aside your work looks great. Keep it up . Raul M
Can't wait to see it finished, looking good!
surfjunke
Looks great so far. The paint & stance are awesome. Pegasus makes some really nice plastic disc brakes & calipers. There are also some nice ones as well from the resin casters.
Scott - Elm City Hobbies
While it does look better lowered, has anyone seen the actual car that Foose built? Not lowered at all, at least not as much as the build above, or the illustration on the box. So I would say Revell got the kit bang on, but not modifying the suspension on the kit. tramprod
yes the car in the show wasn't as low but still lower than the kit which is about the same height i went for

streetrodnut72
I bought two of these kits myself, one just to get the Foose wheels. I plan on building this one very soon. I'm planning to put the wheels from the second kit on AMT's '41 Ford woodie street rod. I can't wait to see yours done Duane.

jimmy
I built up the car with the optional racing additions....played around with PowerPoint 2010 and made the attached pic. The top red stripe decal did not lay well so if anyone has a spare, I sure would appreciate it if you could send it to me - thanks !!!!!
