Now that's what I'm talkin' bout ! The old coupes and coaches were what I watched as a kid . Some of the best drivers in the south . Curtis Turner , Max Berrier , Carl Burris and a bunch more. Some day I hope to build a diorama of Bowman Gray Stadium with models from back in the 60s . Sorry for rambling on . Just an old man thinking of my youth . Jimmie

Beautiful build. Is that built from the Herb Thomas kit ? It's really sweet. By the way the exhaust out the back was to send the heat from the exhaust out and into any car close behind thus causing their motor to run hot. NASCAR later outlawed that. Jimmie

Hey guys/gals like a lot posts I see I am also returning to the hobby after years away. My main interest is in circle track cars from the 40s to the 70s.Right now I working on a 36 Ford 5 window coupe on an AMT Rat Trap Vega modified chassis. Also have a 55 Chev sedan for a 6 cyl powered "Hobby" class car. I hope to get some ideas from the folks on forum. So now I'm of to the forum to see what's changed in the hobby since I've been gone.
