I had the Revell '66 GTO kit out last night looking it over,,what a great kit! Beautiful 1/1 subject, well detailed kit, looks like it should go together pretty nicely,,,I even have some P.E. for it.

So why don't I have it built yet ???? Who knows. but it got me thinking.

Anyone else have this situation where they have a beautiful kit like that but just haven't built it??

Yeah, oh, yeah!

I've got several hundred!! Each one of them seemed like a really great idea at the time! :D

But seriously, it probably boils down to a couple: the current Revellogram 1/8 scale Big Deuce reissue and the Trumpeter American LaFrance Eagle pumper. Both are awesome kits, both deserve immediate attention. Neither has received it!

Neat question, Steve.

Tamiya Enzo. I've got the kit (2 of them actually because they were "cheap"), C/F decals, a bunch of detail parts, and yet no interest to build it yet. I honestly think I'd have more fun building the simpler (and arguably better-looking because of the 1-piece body) Revell Enzo  :D

Actually, as much as I love most Ferraris, the Enzo and F50 both feature styling that doesn't do much for me. The Tamiya F50 is another awesome kit that I have and haven't yet felt inspired to build.

Fujimi's Ferrari Enthusiast kits. Namely the 365 GTB4 Daytona. I have three of these kits. I think I am more intimidated than anything. I will however be working on one as my winter project. I have too!

Tamiya Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM 2000 , really looks cool , but the graphics that need to be done will assure this one to stay cool in the box

There are several but one of the first that comes to mind is the AMT 57 Vette closely followed by the AMT Starliner. Both are great kits, just haven't gotten around to putting one together yet. And it looks like I won't be doing one anytime soon either, got a smokin' deal on a Big T kit and it arrived yesterday...

Those are what I call "fondle kits"! I have a bunch of them, I wonder if I'll ever get round to building them. But I take them down and open them up on a regular basis, fondle the finely crafted parts, dry fit things, then sigh and put them back on the shelf.

A couple that come to mind are the Big Deuce and the Entex '37 Packard roadster. The Entex kit probably isn't that great, but the subject is awesome!

"Fondle kits" - I love it! A perfect description of my modeling activity. I have about worn some kits out from too much "fondling"!!!

The MonoRev 1958 Corvette is my most fondled.

Let's see: Harold Bradford's C5-R, Accurate Miniatures Grand Sport, Tamiya Enzo, Revell '67 Corvette coupe, MRC Bell 47 Helicopter, Monogram '59 Corvette and many others that are "officially" started like the Quick Skins Corvette GTP, Fujimi Gallardo, Revell Germany Ferrari 288 GTO...

Thanks,

Accurate minatures '63 Corvette GS, Mclaren Mk 6D.....then there's that $100 worth of Academy kits I won from Fine Scale Modeling a coupla years back. My house is way too small to be building 1/35 scale models (Mid Production Tiger I w/interior, I have a 1/48th Bandai Tiger I built in '76), not to mention combining what's left of an original Big T with what's left of a Golden Big T. I culd go on and on. In fact tha custom '56 Ford I'm building I've been holding onto and revising in my head for....maybe 20 yrs. Work a little bit...then cogetate awhile, a looong while.

God put me on this Earth to accomplish a certain amount of things and right now I'm so far behind that I will never die. :D

Tamiya F50 Ferrari is the one that I keep looking at. It seems that I am afraid to build it because I am worried about making a mistake or if it comes out bad. I guess that I should just build it because it is only plastic right?

Probably the Tamiya Enzo, or the Johan Turbine Car. Just can't find much time for BOX STOCK building.

I have the Tamiya 1/12 Porsche 934 that I purchased the Scale Motorsports detail set for and it is still under my bed. Way, way, way to much money in it to have it setting there just waiting. I keep saying it's going to be my next build but for the last 3 years it has just sat there intimadating me. So as soon as I finish my Tamiya Lola, I'm going to start on it. Promise.
