As ya can see it needs some work but is in decent shape. It is missing a few things like the motor and hood tho. I think I can reshape a 65 hood to work since the 64 seems to have a plain flat hood. Is the 65s Motor and chassis the same as the 64 kits ?? I know the chassis fits just fine cause its parked on one right now. I'm also curious about if this kit was reissued or did it give its life at some point for the 65s that may be giving theirs for it ??

Yes, it was converted to the '65 and I'm pretty shure the engine was the same. I have a '64 cvt. I was working on but it went to the back burner because the candy green paint job didn't turn out the way I thought it should.

As for the hood ,, might be easier to find something relitivly flat with a slight curve to it like a roof or something to make one from. Probably be easier than making one from the hood of a '65. , , , NOW,, maybe the trunk lid might work though.

The original hoods didn't fit very well to start with.

Steve thanks for the info. I hadn't thought about using a trunklid....... The box of goodies the lincoln came in has an entire trunk lid from the 65 kit in it .... not really sure I wanna know of that poor cars fate lol But now I know what to use that lid for. One way or another this old Connie will be saved
