I've been working on this for a few weeks now. Started when a member from another board said he had a Lincoln that was so far gone that no one could do anything with it.,,,I took that as a challenge.;)

Here's a pic of what I started with,,

Here's what I've done so far,,custom front & rear and chopped the top. It was a '65 promo so it's a curbside. I could have just used the parts from the current issue '65 Lincoln kit but that would have been too easy. LOL ;)

Thanks guys. I'm planning to paint it in a "Winfield" style fade from candy red to a very deep candy butgundy. I'm planning to use a set of my 19 inch chrome reverse wheels on it with bullit centers.

Here's a few pics of it in silver paint. I paint mine silver now so I can find and fix all the areas that need attention before they get the actual "final" paint job. This is only a mock-up to make shure everything fits properly ,, I'm not planning to use the 5-spoke wheels on this one.

Sweet car so far, considering where you started! What advantage do you find using silver as primer?

It makes every little blemish stand out like it was an inch across.

I'm planning to paint it in a "Winfield" style fade from candy red to a very deep candy burgundy. ,,,or at least in similar colours. I don't really know how those paint jobs will look until they'r done. To quote Gene hisself,,"I paint until I like it".

The custom front and rear pans, grills and tail lights originated in the AMT '66 Lincoln kit. They didn't fit too bad concidering they were designed for a different body. There was also a "Winfield" plaque in there for the custom version so I'd guess they were designed by Winfield also.
