[Lyle Willits]

Wrap-around fenders and fat tank from Replicas & Miniatures Co. of Md. Paint is Duplicolor silver and Metalcast blue (candy blue).

Angled plug boots from Reps & Mins. Scratchbuilt primary cover.

Blue wire used for piping. The,,,uh,,,,doodads are little chromed round things from a Revell '31 Model A kit and the "leather" tassels are painted masking tape.

Whitewalls were painted with Polly Scale flat white.
Okay,,,,,,,on to the next one.

Looks great Lyle, the fat tank looks much better than the issued ones. I tried making tassels out of rubber skirt material from a fishing lure , but I never got it right, never thought of tape...nice build.

Wow! Lyle that is my favorite bike to date. I'm going to have to pick up one of these kits sometime. I keep looking and never bite. This build makes great inspiration!

The whitewalls were just painted with a brush. Polly Scale acrylics dry very evenly with NO brush marks. I just used the natural bead on the sidewall as the guide.

Lyle where are you getting the wire for plugs. I been useing what comes in the Harley kits. And need to get more. I just love all these bikes ever one building. the white walls are cool. I have two done the Trike that has been posted on this form. and a black chopper that I haven't posted. Working on two more. A trike and chopper. thanks for any help. Rick 8)

I get wire from lots of places. Radio Shack has wire that's a little thicker than the aftermarket spark plug wire. Detail Master sells wire in many gauges. Also, all the large craft store have several gauges or wire, either colored or silver, gold, copper, etc.

VERY cool. Lyle, you need to supervise a crew to make real choppers. You definitely would have no problem finding customers, and your cheerful demeanor would have lots of fabricators wanting to work for you! See you and the bike at the meeting.

Ah, you have much to learn, Glasshopper. Put the tires on the wheels before you paint the whitewalls. :wink:
