Here are a few pics of the contents of one of my favorite kits, Revell's '69 Dodge Dart GTS from 1995:

Yes, I forgot to take a pic of the body shell. ![]()
IIRC, this kit was the first all-new 1/25th scale musclecar kit to be released by Revell after the Revell-Monogram merger, not to mention Revell's first 1/25th scale Mopar with a big block Chrysler B/RB engine. The kit is right up there with Revell's 69 Camaros in terms of fit, finish, and appearance when completed. I only wish Revell would use the kit as the basis for a few more A-body Mopars, but Revell has given us a '68 Dart in both Mr Norm GSS and Dick Landy versions, as well as the upcoming '68 Hemi Dart, so hopefully we'll see a few more variations in the future.

I have the 1968 Mr. Norm kit and the 1968 Hemi Dart kit, but I'd like to do one as a '69 and one as a '68. But I can't see any difference between the'68 and '69 kits from pics online, so I'm thinking I probably don't need to buy the '69 kit if it doesn't give me anything.

Just off the top of my head, the differences are - grille, tail lights, sidemarkers , interior seat and door panel pattern, chrome hood call outs.

Thanks for the replies! I'll look closer at the chrome parts in my '68 kit and compare them to the chrome parts of the '69 in the link I posted above. Unfortunately, I can't find a pic of the '69 kit's body to see if Revell got the side markers right.

hey dmk, i have both of these kits and the marker lights on the kits are different. also, the 68 (kit) has the molded in vynle top, the 69 does not.
Maybe the Mr. Norm's or Landy '68 Dart kits have the vinyl top, but the current '68 Hemi Dart kit does not. Pics and info here: http://www.modelcars...c=33078&hl=dart
There are many differences between the '68s and '69s, both in real life and in scale. You will need to buy a '69 GTS kit to build an accurate '69.

The Mr. Norm kit does have the vinyl top and the Hemi kit does not. Other than that and decals, these two '68 kits are identical with the Hemi kit having extra sprues for the 426 engine, the racing interior tub, roll bar, Dana Rear, Hemi hood, additional wheels, and slicks (and a few other things I'm forgetting).Maybe the Mr. Norm's or Landy '68 Dart kits have the vinyl top, but the current '68 Hemi Dart kit does not.

You guys are right. I compared my parts from the '68 kits to the pics online of the '69 kit and there are definitely differences in the grill, rear panel, tail lights and the buckets have headrests in the '69 kit. Oddly, Revell still used a '68 dashboard in the '69 kit (you can see the ignition on the dash instead of the column).
Thanks everyone for helping out!
