Well I'm going to be getting a few of these and wondering what's in the box and everything.
So if you got pics of it can you post em, that would be great.
Thanks!

I never built mine; it's painted white/silver like the ones that ran in the Hot Rod series, but that's as far as it got. Pretty decent kit. I doubt there are any changes to it, unless they included some custom graphics and perhaps wheels/tires.

Looks like the tires are no name.
I'm going to say it probably is a straight re-issue as Bob suggested.

I think David T. is building one for an SA review. I could be wrong, but the pictures I've seen of his look beautiful. I'll be buying one of these. I never did pick it up back in the day.

Do you got a link to the pics?

The Goodyears were incorrect anyway. The 1:1 had Firestone Firehawks.I'm betting that it'll have generic, no-name tires in place of the original Goodyears....

My ex-wife's body fit perfectly in the bed of that truck....
Just kidding, I never owned one.
Had two of the Dakota R/T's though.
I would love to have had one.
It was a killer truck, and you could haul things, besides okole!

Yeah, if I remember, the payload was only about 500 pounds, the only it could haul was, for lack off a better term, the mail!! I know it had a souped up 4.3 L and AWD, but can't remember if it was turbo or supercharged.Wasn't the Cyclone a fast little truck but one that couldn't haul anything in the box? Kind of a useless truck, no?

As far as "useless" goes, they're no less useless than all of those current pickups with the 4 door cabs and 5' or less bed. Can't even haul a load of lumber in one of those.

It was turbocharged. The T-case and front axle center section are the same as the Astro/Safari AWD vans.

I hope they didn't fail in the lighter Syclones as often as they did in the M-vans.
It's a shame GM never made an extended cab Syclone, but that probably would've defeated the purpose, huh? I still see a Typhoon cruising around in my town every summer, but it's been a while since I saw a Syclone. They are very cool trucks indeed.
I built one of these when it was first release in '93(?) or so and recall it went together very well- a very typical early '90s Revell kit.
