[Custom Hearse]

I stopped at Hobby Lobby today and found a 1/16th scale 1955 Mercedes 300 SL "Gullwing" coupe from Minicraft. I was looking through the clearance shelves and found it with the price tag of $11.39. The hood, doors and trunk all open on it. I'll post some pics soon.

I was going online to get info on the 1:1 car, and found that people on evilbay were selling it for $39.00! I almost didn't buy it because I've got a whole lot projects I'm already working on. I've got the engine built and painted, and the body is in primer. I'll post some more pics of it later. Until then, later!

Thanks for the pics of the kit. My Local HL has this kit on clearance. I think I'll buy it after being able to peek in the box.

Happy to do it Camaroman. I picked this one up at Hobby Lobby on clearance. Be careful when you cut the parts off the trees, they are VERRRYYY fragile.

Are you gonna build a racer or stock? As I have some pics of a vintage racer from Michigan you could borrow. Note they are action shots.

Here's the engine.... It was a little tricky to build.









It looks pretty busy.... Alot of parts to put together. Needs a little more detailing to it, but it came out great. And yes, I know the engine isn't supposed to be red, but I felt like painting it red!
