For this build I'll be taking my already built 1984 GMC truck, and combining it with the suspension/wheels/tires from the 1990 C1500 kit to make a custom truck.

Here's how it started out:



Here's the body so far. I filled in the creases in the bed sides, added and filled in a roll pan, filled in the front filler piece, and fabbed a custom grille out of round tubing.

Thanks so far! Right now I'm getting the engine built up, and the suspension figured out. I'm planning on setting it up like a 70's muscle car with the jacked up rear, traction bars and lift shackles, and of course some fat meats.

very nice, i like the jacked up look, when i first started driving in the 80s thats how we drove our vehicles, air shocks all the way up

Thanks! Here's the completed interior. Went with tan leather, billet shifter, white-faced gauges, and I turned a spare fire-extinguisher into a nitrous bottle. I also threw a tach onto the steering column.

Well I finally finished this build. It started as a 4WD and was converted to a 2WD using the front suspension from the 1990 C1500 kit. I decided to go with a sort of 70's muscle car stance, with more of a 90's street truck look. I built a custom grille, custom airdam, 90's style headlight covers, tonneau cover, rear roll pan, added rear window louvers from the C1500 kit, added a supercharger to the engine, wired up the plug wires and battery, added a nitrous bottle, fabbed traction bars and lift shackles, and I added headers with header-mounted glasspack mufflers.

I am a huge fan of the box Chevy/GMC trucks and this is a cool take on this one. I've seen a few street/ Pro street ones and they are mean looking on the road. Cool truck!

Really tough call.
I thought the first Version was a nice Classic keeper.
The rebuild tho, looks really great.
I Really Like the 2 Tone color Combo.
Jacked all up in the real looks like a Really Cool Classic too..
