I know he probably hears it all the time but Cranky is one of the best at what he does i just loved the new article in the new issue. He is my inspiration to keep going in the hobby and to learn his techniques!!! Keep it up Cranky!

Cranky has a "how to article" in this months issue? I need to make a run to the city and pick it up. Shiny is great but the art of "salt" is the best.

Besides, Harry is the one who makes everyone look good in print!

Thanks Harry!

See what I mean?

Here I am in Daytona with Harry on my right and Gregg on the left. I don't know why they always insist on wearing black, and in such intense Florida heat!

Read Cranky's article, and pay close attention to his use of magnets. I've been using them for years to hold my model's hoods in place(both shut and open),only I get mine from www.amazingmagnets.com - I think they would work well holding 'opening' doors closed,too.........'Z'

Steven, you are right, I think the possibilities with magnets are endless and very very interesting.

I hope to one day be able to build a take-apart model, held together with magnets only. ;)

CRANKY ROCKS!!!

Have you guys visited his Fotki site? I looked at it last week, was on there somewhere close to three hours just enjoying his craftsmanship, and his willingness to share his pictures with us. Just a joy to behold, he is another unique craftsman that enhances our wonderful hobby, and motivates people like me...and I am grateful.
Folks, check it out, worth the visit. Thanks for all your hard work Cranky.

Mike

Oh and let this be a warning to you all, this is what happens after a decade of inhaling all that glue spirit and styrene dust:

Great Cranky; so you're saying that inhaling too much glue fumes and styrene dust will lead me to model HO scale trains?! (wait, I already do that too............:) )
