[Kodiak Island Modeler]

I'm glad that you displayed the progress pictures. At first, I thought that the walls were aftermarket. That's how good the walls look. This is already an impressive diorama.

...I've got a couple of real life projects going on right at the moment so time at the bench is limited but I'll remember to take plenty of pics as I go along. I also like to see "how to's". That's one of the ways we improve in this hobby.

..haven't been able to spend much time on the garage but did get started on some detail parts. This is going to be the overhead heater. I found a reference pic of an old Reznor gas heater. It's suppose to be from the 30's. Unfortunately I accidental deleted the pic and can't find it again. So I'm going of what I remembered of it.





....it's going to get a fan, control valve and vent pipe to finish it off......more to come as time permits..lol

Thanks Greg and decsgarages, it's a bummer when life sneaks in and interrupts things for sure but we're getting settled in now and I hope to get back in the grove here soon. Decsgarages, we just got back from your neck of the woods this past Saturday. My daughter got married in Galway. We stayed in some really nice cottage's just outside of Oughterard. First time in Ireland and loved it! Didn't get as much play time as I'd hoped, and was unable to make it to Dublin, but look forward to it next time I'm there.

...thanks Bradley, your guess was correct. I built model cars till I got to high school, then I turned my interests to more important issues like girls and muscle cars. After I got married I started into model railroading, did that for about 10 years or so. Every now and then I get the urge to break out the RR stuff but don't, having too much fun with this again!..lol

Thanks Erik and Tony, Hoping to get back to this after the holidays. Between the resin work and other projects I haven't found the time for it. Sad thing is I've been saying "after this" and "after that" for three months now!

..got a small up date....because I wasn't able to find the light shades I wanted, decided to make my own.



..it's a scale 16" industrial light shade used a lot in factories and warehouses. It's based on the popular Ivanhoe shades of the day. Since I need between 9 and 12 of these, I'm making a mold for it. Once the lighting is figured out I can get the ceiling and upper floor done.
