I am using that style of hinge on my 32 Ford project. The problem I am having is getting them to open into the body and not outside of it like on a 1:1. Do I just need to adjust the size of the bend in the wire ?

This is important stuff. Wire hinges are big, ugly and don't resemble anything in the 1:1 world... Can't wait fot the how-to!B)

Wow, I could have used that tut before I put such big ugly hinges on my 41 chevy pick up. Made the back of the cab really unsightly and the hinges make it look toy like. I agree with everyone else that they do not resemble anything in the real car/truck world. Posted ImageHopefully for my next build will be able to use this idea. To late to start over. Like everyone else, will be looking forward to your tutorial. Thank you so much for sharing cant wait either....
