Pictures will be appearing eventually, but I've primed the Chevy, started with some of the sub-assemblies and will have the engine painted within the next 24-48 hours.

if i can find it i have a s-10 oval track truck i started and would be a good one for this build.

how about 2 stock appearing ford trucks 1 78 ford f100 with the bed shortened to a scale 6 ft. bed or a 78 ford big foot kit that has been put back on a 53 ford pickup frame complete with a step side bed truck with a lowered dodge k frame and engine from a Mark Martin thunderbird and nascar style exhaust. or a 53 ford that's been stretched to make a car hauler or a 53 ford pick up that has been butted up and spliced with a chevy snap tite wrecker and yes ford running gear i have some of the 70's ford truck models and i' looking for different ways to build them but leave the bodies stock don't want to cut them up they are pretty hard to find after all do these count

Well since I lost the first 53 for this build,I had to get this one to replace it.
This is what I call an extreme custom.
I tried this once before and it turned into a mess,so this according to the look I'm going for is
going the way I want it to.
It is the old MPC kit flip nose,and a Big Time mustang kit.
This is the mock up,still needs more work to make it blend together,the bed has been shorten
and I will try to fit the mustang rear clip to it.
I may blend the mustang hood into the flip nose and have a big block eng. Without anything
sticking out of the hood.The hood will lift off instead of fliping.

That Mustang nose looks really nice on that pickup. It says how narrow the truck is...and how w-i-d-e that Mustang is!

I'm going to be very interested in how this one turns out.

Ok, I started mine, its a 53 F100, built the way I would like to have one built. On to the pictures!!



Paint on the cab, this is going to be really hard to match the color, spray too much and its dark, don't spray enough and its too light.

Update on mine: I'm gonna be switch my entry from my jeep to a 65 chevy pick up, but I can't get pics up because my computer is really messed up. But I have the interior painted, chassis painted but not detalied and the cab and bed is almost ready for paint.

HEADS UP
This is for anyone that tries to change clips from other kits like the mustang clip
that I put on my 53 truck.
DO NOT USE BIGTIME BRAND KITS.
I'm not knocking the company any way what so ever.
The reason is this.I dont know what the problem is but I'm having a hard time making
it bond to the plastic that the 53 is made of.
Using crazy glue if that do'nt work its back to the start with a Revell kit.
My CA glue may be to old,it did'nt work after sitting over night.

Here's the latest. Got the hood changed over with the mustang hood blending in.
The rear bumper has still got to be worked out.
