Now that the World Series is over and after 56 years the San Francisco Giants are the World Series Champions again, I can get back to building models...

Got into the parts box and thru together a twin turbine engine...






fabricated and resin cast the exhaust thingys, gettin' ready to vacuum form the intakes...

This turned out to be a far more elaborate and ambitious build that it first appeared to be. And yes, I do think it's actually pretty classy! The red & white color scheme looks real sharp and the surprising amount of detail really comes across well.

finis...
got'er all done, had to take care of a few fit issues and dings along the way
*engine parts were too high for hood to close - necessitated removing and grinding away stuff, dinged the fender in the process
*hinges and guide pins for the canopy are a little on the fragile side and bind when trying to close
but overall it was fun and didn't come out to bad...
just gonna post pixurz of the finished car in this thread - won't be posting it "Under Glass"

That looks cool flush hood or not,very nice.Real cars don't have even hoods,I wouldn't worry bout that.Love the landing gear pads nice touch.I gotta watch that movie sometime.Nice job,Curt.
