Next up is the steam engine from the GCR. It's a 1906 American Locomotive Co. 2-8-0. This engine pulled the train from Williams, Arizona to the Grand Canyon for years before the Alco units arrived. I think she is down now do to the boiler is in need of overhaul. I hopw to ask these guys for more pictures from the yard. They have another steam engine and from the freeway I could tell they have VIA F or E unit in storage. Enjoy!

I live about 4 blocks from where pulman factory was until it burnt down in i think the 50s or 60s, if your ever in michigan city make sure you watch the south shore electric train we have here it runs from chicago illinois to southbend indiana but when it comes threw our town its in the middle of the road all the way threw michigan city. If you look up south shore trains they have a website, also theres a video that somebody takes while riding on the south shore on there website and theres one on youtube, but it shows it going threw our town in the middle of the road. I think its like 5 miles that it runs down our roads, also at night they run freight trains on the same track
