2.2/auto's are really slow, I mean I've driven one and it's NOTHING compared to my 4.3, trust me lol.

If you REALLY want a extreme, go buy the cladding and stick it on your truck. You can do the 98+ front end also, but you would need to change out the core support and other stuff.

What I'm saying is stick with the 96, and hold off on the extreme, or atleast till you find a 4.3, because the 2.2 just isn't great.

Yeah,I know,my Pops bought a brandy new 2.2L/5 speed back in the day. Thing I was looking at was,A) being an auto,SHE can drive it and might let me at least entertain the thought, and  was looking at better mileage for a daily, and I could pull the '96 into a garage and build it the way it's nearly impossible to build a depended on driver...she ain't gunna let me get TWO new-to-me trucks anyways,LMBO!

I'll be starting an Square Dime project soon (in it's own thread). We just started our 2nd semi-annual CBP over on my board, with one class as a "Simple CBP",where nothing that did NOT come in the box, other than putty, paint and glue,is allowed,I'm building the Revell '93 Dime 3 n 1 for that, the other class is completely open to anything your imagination can conjure in 1:24/1:25 scale,so long as it's a truck...if I can muster having 3-4 ongoing projects,I'm jumping on that one too with a 2nd gen extended cab conversion or a '95 Blazer B)

Anybody else have anythign S10 model-project related going on?

I'm,of course,"Olskoolrodder" there as well. I haven't gotten started on it just yet (so no thread) for 2 reasons,1) I need to get going hard on a b-day present build for my daughter (b-day is the 25th...),and 2) I seem to have caught my wife's bad case of the flu,so no gumption,LOL! I'll be getting on it in the next couple weeks though (I'll send you a PM here with link when I do).

Here's my 1:1 off my Mini Truckin' "Reader's Rides" page. 1998 S10 Airbags with cantilever rear and 18x8.5 inch Panther Defiance rims. For the record, the wheels have a 4.75" backspace. I can still stick my finger between the wheel and the fender lip at all four corners and the lips are not rolled.

Always love seeing that S-10 Blazer panel, Craig!

Would a GMC Sonoma or Jimmy be 'close enough' for an S-10 thread? Because I do have a few of those in the works.

How have I missed this thread for so long? I love S-Series trucks! I got a couple Syclone kits I hope to get going on soon, as well as a few Blazer and Sanoma kits I want to combine, and a die-cast 4X4 I'm setting up with ZR2 flairs, cowl hood, bumper, and light bar like mine. So not gonna get them all done soon but now I know where to post the progress pics.

Here's my rig.

Nice zr2! They are hard to find in good shape for a good price. Btw it's Sonoma, not sanoma. I know people spell it wrong all the time, no big deal. I really like your truck though!

Talking about this model got me in the mood to start working on it again.

Here's how it looked when I pulled it out of the box.
Posted Image

Stripped the paint and filed down the little spoiler.
Posted Image

Built the ZR2 flairs.
Posted Image

I had to trim some of the flair away to allow the doors to open. Oh well, on this beast the flairs are just for show anyway.
Posted Image

Working on matching the bumper and interior to my Z. It's pretty cool, the model has flames molded into the door panel that resemble flames that I actually have on my door panels.
