In between projects, I like to sling paint with my airbrush. I know it's not automotive in nature, but it's what else I do with my artistic side and modeling tools. This is a goalie helmet that I rendered the comic book character Venom on to. If this isn't OK for this forum, then the admin's can delete. Thanks for looking.

A friend of mine here in Winnipeg does goalie maskes. He augments his wages very nicely. They aren't cheap either, with the designs etc. and
each one has to be kind of one of a kind. You did a great job on the one you did. Hope you augment your wages/salary with those benefits too.

Awesome helmet. I used to get my racing helmets custom painted but they never looked as cool as that.

I've painted a porcelain skull pen holder for a friend. This is my first goalie helmet, but something I've wanted to do for a long time. This one was done basically because I needed to do something while waiting for my next kit/build to arrive from Europe. I may sell it. I've had the idea for a while, so I went to the local used sporting equipment store and bought a used helmet and this is where I'm at. I sandblasted the face mask yesterday to get rid of all the rust. After I paint that and get the parts to fix it (had to drill out two screws because they were rusted) it'll be done.

That's fantastic work Mike - a great finish - very professional - stick it up on Ebay - you might be very surprised what it would fetch - it could help to pay for your modelling hobby!
Thanks for sharing,
Cheers,
Paul

Thank you all for the compliments. I've finally completed it. I took it to a local auto body place to have it cleared. Then to the hockey shop for replacement parts and I'm now done.
