Zeb, its a Canadian truck. F-100s were rebadged and sold north of the border as Mercury pickups for some time during the 1950s. There was a good article in Collectible Automobile magazine in the recent past about the Mercury trucks - not sure which issue though.

Actually they were sold here from '46 to '68. Here's a link to a site I found on them.

I'm not shure how much of the info is accurate,, I see a chart comparing Canadian made GM and Ford/Mercury products to thier US counterparts on there that's about as accurate as a busted clock.,, unless you believe ChevyIIs/Novas were made in '53. LOL :D

BTW, one of my uncles has a '59 Mercury pickup project for sale. :D
