I notice that the '48 Ford Custom Coupe is not in the Revell 2011 cataloque. There were built up models at iHobby Expo 2010 last October which appear in Model Cars #44. Will this kit be released in 2011?

yes its still coming out, none of the websites are showing release dates so at the earliest I would expect it will be late summer early fall 2011

Man, gotta love it when it's about 18 years between the time a kit is announced and when it actually hits the shelves, huh? :P
(Note, the preceding sentence had just a tinge of sarcasm in it. :( )

Well it's not in the 2011 catalog, because it's in the 2010 Fall Release Brochure...

http://downloads.hob...10_FallBrch.pdf

But beyond that there is a Chicago area club that had a thread in General about Revell bringing out kits to them, and if I recall it right, they were still getting the test shots to look right.

Sure beats the heck out of trying to chop the top on an IMC 46-48 Ford! I bet they are going to sell a ton of these.

I just wish they had sent out scribe lines inside the body so we stock and stock hight folks could have had the option. Look, some of us have built "Stock- Hight street rods such as I did for an employer in 1989............. Ed Shaver

Meh. While I'm not 100 percent certain, I do feel reasonably confident I can find something else to work on in the meantime!

Second that. If I didn't buy another kit starting...NOW...I would be set for about 100 years at my current pace. So, take your time Revell (although I will buy one when they come out). Come to think of it, will there be a need to stash kits in 100 years?

Will we be here in a 100 years?;) So take your time Revell ? They already have. It's not about what we already have. It's about anticipation. It's about looking forward to something new, something we don't already have, something that's been promised.

I want to bash one of these with the woody kit already!
(and by 'one of these' I don't mean the Revell '48 Coupe. I mean I want to bash the woody with a Ken Snyder LP.)
