Hey all. New here, but I wasn't sure where to post my intro. My name is Larry but I'm known as Big Ed. Been buildin' since I was a kid, but after a long time away, I started buildin' again a few years ago. Some might recognize my Blazer (some might even be sick of seein' it).Almost everything was scratchbuilt.................

Glad to see you here Larry!! What took you so long? You're definitely a welcome addition to the forum! Can't wait to see the Dodge finished up and I'm still not sick of seeing the Blazer.

P.S. you can post photos in the "under glass" or in this part of the forum. I suggest both!

Thanks for the "welcomes" and compliments. Here's some update pics on the Dodge. I guess when it's done I should post in the Trucks with lifted suspension?

Older pic with the black wheels.....

Had white paint issues. Had to come up with a different color, which I did, but it didn't go with black wheels. So I had to make new wheels and new hubs (for the Rockwells). This is the completed frame/drivetrain.......

Thanks all for the comps. Jeff, I hadn't realized that I had joined back in '07...just got away from me.
Nick, the grill was time comsuming. I thinned the plastic behind the grill bars (tedious) with my rotary tool. I can't think of the name of the bit, but it's a ball shape with cutting edges around it (?). I thinned it to where I could almost see thru the bars. Got my "helping hands" with magnifying glass and started cutting out in between each bar. Go slow...it's worth the effort. I then cut out the headlights and parkin' lights. Found suitable clear lenses for the parkin' and headlights. I found some chrome hubcaps in the parts box and reversed 'em for bezels behind the heads. I used rectangular off-road lights (sliced & diced) for bezels behind the parkin's. The yellow lenses were changed to clear ones. Don't have an updated pic, but you'll see it in the finished pics soon, so I'll continue here. The orange "bulbs" in the parkin' lights I found at a local craft store. They're stick-on dress-up items for cell phones or whatever. Thegrill was painted with Krylon Dull Aluminum and thinned-out acrylic black craft paint flowed into the crevices. That's pretty much it. Time consuming Nick, but it's what i do.
