I bought this model new and built it when I was 12. I decided it was time for a restoration. You can see what I started with and the finished product. I hope you enjoy it.
Thanks to Tom Coolidge for the rear bumper and windows.

That came out gorgeous Dave!

Not everyone likes the '61 Plymouths............but yours with it's two-tone paint looks really sharp and compliments its low slung lines. 8)

You did a terrific job on this one man but to me what really stands out is all the BMF work you did, sharp and clean....................

INCREDIBLE! I love your model of the car more than I like the actual 1:1 car. You did her proud by working some real magic.

Wow - that turned out beautifully. I agree with the others on the two-tone. That makes it.

Beautiful restoration, I really like the two tone color combination you have chosen. I always liked the slick lines of the early 1960's Mopars. The "square" steering wheel always stuck in my head too. I wish my mom hadn't been so quick to toss out my childhood builds. I wish I could go back and rebuild some of my 60's builds. Something tells me that my memory of the build is better then the actual build. Anyway, very nice work.

Excellent job on the restoration. The two-tone really sets off one of Exner's finest.

Great restoration on what one wag referred to as 'The Insect That Ate Tokyo'. I always thought that these were cars had a certain charm to them because they were so outrageously styled. Keep 'em coming.
